Navigon apparently has pulled out of the US market. Considering how complicated their interface is, all I can say is "Long Live Garmin". I purchased at 8100T for my parents last Christmas, because it had Lifetime traffic, to replace thier aging Street Pilot III. On a recent trip to Cedar Point, it was reinforced just how complicated it was when my parents couldn't get it to attach to its "Stalk". It would appear they weren't the only ones. In addition to that, it has a fiddily USB power cable that broke and will no longer charge. As a consolation I gave them my Garmin 765T, which is not only easier to mount, much easier to use. When I went to visit the Navigon site to investigate a replacement for this part, the Navigon site ONLY and I mean ONLY sells a Turn by Turn program for the iPhone. They don't sell a single GPS unit in the US anymore.

The US citizens have spoken, and they no likey the Navigoney. We don't like our GPS' on sticks. They're too phallic, and that's not acceptable! Let those dirty Eurpoeans have them!

So does that mean that a part cannot be ordered for it?

I have yet to actually call them, but there is no place on the current US website for the ordering of accessories.

Well, that certainly sucks! The power cable shouldn't have broken so easily. I can understand why they have pulled out of the US market!!

Its no biggie.. I'm sure one can be obtained. Its just interesting to see just how not alone you were on this particular device.
