Yes, I'm complaining again

My letter to the Starbucks District Manager Te'sh (thats what is on the business card):

Dear Te’sh,

I am a frequent drive thru customer of the 3005 West End Ave Starbucks and am confused by a recent decision this store has made.  Until recently there was a Trash Can that was accessible to the drive thru customers.  Without warning one day, it had been moved away from the Drive Thru area and was no longer accessible. A few days later the “Scoop” portion had been removed to make it look like a normal trash can.  When I inquired to the staff as to why this was, the answers I received ranged from “I don’t know” to “It was being used too much”.  I’m no expert, but to me isn’t the very point of a trash can for drive thru customers be that it IS used?  Now I try my hardest not to generate a lot of trash when I solicit the drive thru by never asking for a receipt, but generally I get a Frappuccino, which at the very least will generate that left over paper from the straw.  I usually get looks of incredulity when I ask the staff to throw these away, but they always exceed to my wishes.  Is there any possible way that this trash can might be returned to its former position of glory with access for drive thru customers?  It would certainly make me happy and somehow I doubt I’m the only one.

It's nice to see a consumer who has a difficulty with a company, who actually pursues the proper channels rather than just yell ineffectually at whoever is serving their drink. Plus, I always enjoy your articulate, amusing, and exasperated letters to businesses.

I <3 your comment letters! I hope you get a response out of this one since I know how much it's been bugging you.

Now we need to find out why the other Starbucks was OUT OF COFFEE!

There is one of those trash cans at the McDonald's near my house where I often stop for an egg McMuffin in the morning. They have it placed BEFORE the drive up window, so it is only good for throwing out the bag and wrappers from yesterday, if I remember in time.
