25 things, yada yada

1. I’ve only been stung by a bee once. I was driving on the freeway with my window rolled down and my arm out. It flew up my sleeve and stung me!
2. I am almost obscenely concerned about where my wallet is. Sometimes I worry enough to get up and check that it’s where I left it.
3. My father was killed in a plane crash that was at least partially his fault
4. The Chi-Chi’s “Cancun” is my favorite dish of all time, which is inconvenient since Chi-Chi’s is out of business
5. When I was trying to figure out what to do with my life, I saw two options: Go to Control Data Institute, or Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts. I’ve often wondered how it would be different if I went to Specs Howard School.
6. When I was really young, I would never eat Taco’s at Taco Bell. I would always get the Bell Beefer
7. My ears started ringing suddenly in 1997 and never stopped. No doctor has ever been able to explain why.
8. I spent 15 years pining after a girl who lost interest in me 14 years earlier.
9. I was not allowed to watch MTV in my house as a kid growing up. This is the only rule I would still to this day describe as “unreasonable” from my childhood.
10. In Elementary School I broke my pinkie playing Kickball, but nobody believed me. Including the Teacher. Even the next day after I had it set, and put in a cast (which was just tape and a Popsicle stick) nobody believed me.
11. I don’t think Men should EVER Cry in front of Women. EVER.
12. I have a Butler fetish
13. Not winning the “Computer Science Award” in High School is one of the most devastating things that ever happened to me.
14. When I was in Elementary School I was not supposed to walk thru the field to get there, instead I was supposed to walk around the block. Once I walked thru the field anyway and my mom KNEW. To this day I’m still not sure how she figured it out.
15. I once rolled a tire home from school and my mom made me roll it back where I found it. In my mind I wanted a tire swing, but I failed to mention this fact to my mother. She’ll cry to this day if I tell this story.
16. I have driven drunk
17. I once got a ticket for “Unnecessary noise” for squealing my tired in front of a policeman.
18. I skipped Church once and broke into my parents house during the service. On the way in I broke the Window. I then snuck back to Church and acted like I didn’t know anything about it when I got home. The police were called and they searched the house looking for an intruder. I waited more than 10 years to tell my parents the truth.
19. I still secretly hope to find my Jr. High School Crush Sue Canale.
20. I’ve always wanted to grow a beard.. Unfortunately my body has other ideas about where the hair should be located.
21. Growing up, I had an unreasonable number of posters of the Lamborghini Countach on my bedroom wall, and ONE poster of Heather Locklear.
22. I always wanted to go to the Pussycat Theater (An Adult XXX theater) in Ferndale when I was young, but by the time I was old enough it had become The Magic Bag (NOT an Adult XXX Theater).
23. I do not want any pets. I don’t mind other people’s pets, but I have an aversion to having any of my own.
24. I remember consciously making the decision to get rid of my G.I. Joe “guys” when I felt I was too old for them.
25. I have seen the movie Tron at least 100 times.

26. If I could travel back in time, I know exactly where I would go. Its a certain parking lot of a certain motel. When I got there, I would go over to myself and punch myself in the face REALLY HARD.

#5 Bummed, I bet. Not only is commercial radio a dying medium, but everything you'd have learned would be basically obsolete now.

I was a a genius with radio equipment circa 1991, now the studio has to be atleast 15 years old for me to find my way around. Sad really...

It's neat to learn things about you.

Did you read the one I posted on Facebook?

I am going to cross post it over here on LJ too.

If you went to Specs, your life would be more like mine.

My icon is Jarrod and me at our Specs graduation.
