William Burroughs

Does anyone know of any good William Burroughs audio that isn't hopelessly out of print? A few years ago the song "Seven Souls" by Material was used in the Season Premiere of The Sopranos. This entire Material album features thier music set to some of Burroughs "Routines" and I find him completely fascinating. I love listening to him speak and I was hoping there was something I could pick up on Amazon, but all my searches seem fruitless.

Burroughs audio
I think most of Burroughs' audio work is out of print, so you might have to resort to finding torrents. I know Pirate Bay has quite a few. Best of Burroughs #1-4 are all pretty good, as are Spare Ass Annie, Break Through in Grey Room, Call Me Burroughs, Dead City Radio and Vaudeville Voices, although some are straight spoken word whilst others are set to incidental music. There used to be a bunch of Burroughs audio at http://stupidd.blogspot.com/2008/05/william-s-burroughs-collection-of.html but I've no idea if they've been taken down or not yet.

You can also find a fair amount of (legal) Burroughs audio on the internet archive (goto archive.org and seach for 'william burroughs'), particularly recordings from the Naropa institute where he taught creative writing classes.

Finally, you might be able to find more Burroughs audio on either the Reality Studio website (realitystudio.org) or by trawling the forum on the same website.

Good luck!
