You know, these "What would happen your family if you died" ads for life insurance are really getting on my nerves now. The most recent one I saw showed a young girl holding a mans hand and it said "Daddy, what would happen to mommy and I if you died". First of all, the idea that a young child would be jaded enough to even ASK such a question pisses me the fuck off, followed up by the fact that the idea of finacial remuneration would somehow make it all "Okay" pisses me off even more. So fuck you International House of Pancakes and Life Insurance. I guess "Mommy and I" would just have to get over it.. Somehow having a big house and a Porsche to drive doesn't seem like it would make it any better.

I can see Ben asking that question. The answer would be simple. Ben would have to learn to mow the lawn himself, and the cats would be going to Jarrod's house.

I hope you are kidding about imagining your newborn BABY asking that question. That would be horrible for a baby or infant to have the awareness to even ask such a question.

I figure it would be after he's older.

Wow, they're really playing the poor, pitiful child approach with that ad.

How about a sad puppy, too? What would happen to Fido if Daddy died?
